Population health management & real-time notifications
One of our customers had a requirement to process patient conversations in real-time and notify staff when to survey patients. We needed a way to process hundreds of simultaneous messages, run these through our machine learning models, and return a notification to the staff member. Our team built a lightweight, scalable, and serverless Enterprise Message Broker using AWS SQS and Amazon Kinesis, taking advantage of the inherent benefits of AWS cloud services, to actively monitor patient conversations and messaging queues and facilitate the simultaneous processing of events for our rules and models. This allowed us to handle the high volume of independent messages and accurately and consistently notify staff when to send the survey. Our solution resulted in a 10% increase in survey response rates as well as a 25% increase in satisfaction with the service.
Healthcare natural language processing (NLP)
One of our clients needed to analyze large volumes of unstructured, text-based data for ongoing operational management. We built a Python-based development framework, integrating several custom-built tools and third party solutions. This allowed our client to break down and manually annotate text, creating training data to be modeled and further analyzed using natural language processing and machine learning. This enabled us to deliver a new operational understanding for our client around sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and text summarization that did not exist before.

One of our clients needed more granular reporting and breakdowns of the hours worked on billable projects than was available in leading HR management systems. Our team built a PHP-based timekeeping system that enables easy management of human capital through an intuitive user interface, simplifying staff management, invoicing, contracts management, timekeeping, and attendance management across multiple billable projects. The system automatically compiles and reports on key metrics, providing managers with a full understanding of project burn rates, hours worked, and any human capital key metrics.
